Manager’s Reaction Makes Employee Quit Who Said No To Coming To Work On His Day Off

One sign of a great manager, or a leader in general, is that he/she knows how to receive “no” as an answer, they know to work their way around it and respect the decisions of their employees. It is not that difficult to understand. If an employee says no to a task and provides a good rationale for it, the conversion should end there and then, you as a manager have no right to force that employee.

However, in today’s Reddit story that was posted on the infamous subreddit “Anti Work” this bad manager was taken aback when their demand wasn’t fulfilled by the employee.

Reddit user u/OnlyFansMod shared that he got called by his manager to come to work on his day off. He obviously told the manager exactly that; that he will not come to work because he is not supposed to. This made the manager react in the worst possible way resulting in the employee quitting the job there and then.
